Surgical Services
Surgical Services offers the setting for general, orthopedic, podiatric, gastrointestinal and other surgeries as needed.
Post-recovery in-patients go to Multi-Care or Maternal and Child Health Units for their convalescence, while out-patients spend the day under the watchful eye of LAMC Post-Anesthesia Recovery Unit nurses. When they feel well enough, they are then released to the comfort of their homes.
Surgical Services' Gastrointestinal (GI) Lab represents a strong community partnership, having been supported over the years through financial and equipment donations by Los Alamos Council on Cancer.
A variety of pre-surgical options are available to appropriate candidates, including pre-admitting and lab work, anesthesia and other patient teaching interviews, and care planning.
